It’s Monday morning. I’ve only been at work for two hours, but it feels like five. I need a certified jam to take me back to a happier time. Back before work and other adult responsibilities replaced doing nothing all day with my friends.
Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam’s “I Wonder If I take You Home” is that jam. Man, I remember seeing this video for the first time at a friend’s (who was lucky enough to have a television that picked up more than three channels) house. I was too young to understand what they were talking about in this song, but that didn’t matter- I only cared about the beat and dance moves. The first few seconds of this song still gives me goosebumps whenever it pops up on my iPod and instantly transports me back to a better time.
